Recreate this Filipino party-staple at home.
This Filipino dish is easy to make at home!
1 kilo pork, (use ground pork), washed until clear and drained
1 medium carrot, grated
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 head garlic
1/2 cup pickle relish
2 pcs bell pepper
1/2 cup dried raisins
3 pieces egg, for cooking
1/2 cup japanese breadcrumbs (panko)
1/4 cup flour
egg, (boiled), for filling
hotdog, for filling
salt, to season
pepper, to season
catsup, for color
1 small can liver spread
banana leaf, made from 10 to 12 banana leaf sheets (or use ramekins or aluminum foil, for wrapping)
In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients except for hotdogs and boiled eggs. Mix well.
When done mixing, put in a plastic wrapper and add in the hotdog and boiled egg.
Wrap using an aluminum foil and seal tightly on both ends.
Steam for an hour or until done.
Let cool. You can serve it immedietly or pan-fry it before serving.
