Bite into these crunchy lumpiang shanghai!
A party will not be complete without these fried treats!
500 grams pork, use ground pork
100 grams shrimp, peeled and cut into ½-inch cubes
1 head garlic, minced
1 medium-sized onion, finely chopped
1 small carrot, grated or finely minced
25 pieces lumpia wrapper
1 bottle vegetable oil, , plus extra for frying
In a heated skillet, saute the onion, garlic and ground pork. Stir until golden brown then add the chopped shrimp. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer to a bowl and set aside.
When slightly cool, put 1 tablespoon of the meat mixture to the lumpia wrapper and start wrapping. Continue wrapping until you've wrapped all the meat mixture.
Deep-fry until golden brown. Drain exceses oil using tissue paper. Serve and enjoy.
