Thai Basil Minced Pork Recipe

This stir fry is super tasty and easy to cook.

Apart from Pad Thai and Tom Yum, this Thai dish is also one of the most popular ala carte street food. It can be made from pork, chicken or beef and infused with the flavors of Thai basil, fish sauce, oyster and soy sauce, and of course, chilies. It is a stir fry dish that is very easy to make, especially on your busy days.

Thai Basil Minced Pork Ingredients


  • 1. In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, and sugar, and mix until sugar is dissolved. Taste and adjust to your liking. Add water if desired.
  • 2. Heat up your pan, and pour some oil. Saute the onions first until translucent, followed by the garlic, until lightly browned, 15 to 20 seconds, then finally, the chilies for 15 seconds. (Remember to wash your hands after slicing the chilies.)
  • Add and saute the minced pork until it s light brown in color under medium-high heat.
  • Pour in the sauce let it boil. Then mix and simmer for 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Add string beans, toss, and season with pepper.
  • Add basil and give it a good mix for 2 minutes. Serve with white rice and fried egg.
