Beef and Mushroom Sopas Ingredients

  • 125 Grams uncooked macaroni about 1 cup
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 200 Grams Ground beef
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Salt divided or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 1/4 cups water divided
  • 1 piece beef bouillon cube
  • 1 198-gram can mushrooms pieces, drained
  • 2 stalks celery chopped
  • 1 medium carrot peeled, grated
  • 1 Cup can evaporated milk


  • Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  • Heat oil in a pot. Sauté onion and garlic until softened.
  • Add beef, and season with 1/2 teaspoon salt and ground pepper. Cook until lightly browned, about 5 minutes.
  • Add 1/4 cup water and simmer until water has evaporated. Add beef bouillon cube and mix.
  • Add remaining water and bring mixture to a simmer, about 4 minutes.
  • Add mushroom, celery, and carrots. Simmer for another 3 minutes.
  • Add cooked macaroni, evaporated milk, and remaining salt. Bring back to a simmer, about 2 minutes. Serve hot.
