Beef Hamburger Recipe

In a large bowl, mix ground beef, ground pepper, salt, and the egg together. Divide the ground meat mixture into four. 

Using your hands, take one portion and form into a ball then flatten into a round patty. Create a shallow crater in the middle of the burger. Set aside. Repeat with remaining portions. (If desired, refrigerate overnight or freeze until ready to cook.) 

When ready to serve, heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the patties flat side down in the hot oil. Let cook for about 3 minutes or until the centers are firm. Flip and cook the other side. Remove from the pan and serve while hot with hamburger buns, lettuce, tomatoes, and other toppings and condiments.
