Ingredients
Beef Stew
- 1 kilo beef cubes
- 3/4 Cup Japanese soy sauce
- 3/4 Cup mirin (japanese sweet rice wine)
- 1/3 Cup sugar
- 2 pieces beef bouillon cubes
- 2 liters water
- 1 piece red onion quartered
- 1 piece red bell pepper sliced into strips
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- roasted sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Â Combine beef, soy sauce, mirin, sugar, bouillon cubes, and water in a pot to a rolling boil. Â
- Once boiling, lower heat and simmer until beef is tender, about 60 to 80 minutes. Â
- When beef is tender and cooking is almost done, add onions, bell peppers, and sesame oil. Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with sesame seeds, if desired. Â
