Buttermilk Fried Fish Fillet Recipe

In a shallow dish, combine flour, taco seasoning and salt. Set aside.

Mix milk and lemon juice and let stand for a few minutes to make buttermilk.

Prepare cream dory by washing and patting dry with paper towels. Put cream dory in buttermilk and soak for at least 10 minutes.

 Heat enough oil to reach halfway up a deep pan to 170 degrees C. 

Dredge each fillet with the flour mixture and shake off excess. Fry in oil until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Serve while hot with the lemon garlic dip. 

Make Lemon Garlic Sauce: Melt butter and fry garlic until softened and just turning golden brown. Combine with mayonnaise. Add a squeeze of lemon to taste. Mix well. Serve with fried fish fillets.
