Ingredients
  

Cacio e Pepe Maccheroni

  • 1 Table Spoon unsalted butter
  • 1 Cup Pecorino Romano cheese grated
  • 1 teaspoon Pecorino Romano cheese
  • 250 Grams macaroni noodles cooked according to package directions
  • Salt
  • 1/4 Cup Butter
  • 3/4 Cup whipping cream
  • Pepper
  • parmesan cheese

Instructions
 

  • flavored salts or grated cheese like parmesan, pecorino romano, or white cheddar (optional)
  • Make the cream sauce:Combine butter and whipping cream in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Bring mixture to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for about 5 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper. If desired, you can use flavored salts or add grated cheese like parmesan, pecorino romano, or white cheddar.
  • Add ¾ cup Cream Sauce, pecorino romano cheese, pepper, and cooked maccheroni. Stir until cheese is melted. Season with salt.
  • Portion among bowls, top with cheese shavings, and serve immediately.
