Cassava Cake Ingredients

  • 2 cups cassava freshly grated
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 3/4 Cup evaporated milk
  • 1/4 Cup condensed milk
  • 1/2 Cup coconut milk
  • 1/4 Cup Butter melted
  • grated cheese for topping


  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9-inch baking pan with banana leaves. Set aside.
  • In a bowl, combine cassava, eggs, sugar, evaporated milk, condensed milk, coconut milk, and butter. Mix well.
  • Reserve 1 cup of the cassava-milk mixture. Pour the rest into the prepared pan. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until almost done.
  • Meanwhile, transfer reserved liquid to a saucepan and cook over low heat until thick.
  • Remove pan from the oven and spread thickened cassava-milk mixture on top. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Continue baking until lightly browned.
