Chicken and Bacon Barbecue Ingredients

  • 1/4 Cup tomato ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Garlic chopped
  • 2 tablespoons white onions chopped
  • 3/4 Cup dark rum
  • 1 Cup cola
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder Optional
  • 200 Grams
  • 500 Grams chicken thigh fillets cute into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 Cup pineapple canned or fresh, sliced
  • 1/4 Cup vegetable oil
  • 4 cobs corn boiled
  • 2 tablespoons Butter melted
  • Spanish paprika Optional
  • Salt to taste
  • ground black pepper to taste


  • Make the marinade: Combine all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer until syrupy, about 30 minutes to 1 hour. Set aside to cool.
  • Roll a bacon strip then thread onto a barbecue stick. Continue threading with chicken, ending with a pineapple slice. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Pour marinade over skewers and refrigerate, covered, for 1 to 2 hours.
  • Heat a griller or a grill pan over medium-high heat. Brush skewers with oil then grill until cooked, about 4 to 6 minutes per side.
  • Make the grilled corn: Grill corn until slightly charred, about 2 to 3 minutes per side. Brush with butter. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika, if using.
  • Serve skewers with grilled corn on the side.
