Chicken Bistek Recipe

In a large bowl combine soy sauce, calamansi juice, garlic, salt, and pepper then add the chicken pieces. Set aside to let marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat, pour in oil and fry onion slices. Set aside. Lower heat to medium-low heat. 

In the same pan, add chicken pieces then pour in the marinade. Add water and simmer for 20 minutes or until chicken is cooked through. Remove from heat. Add onions before serving.
