Ingredients
Chicken Pares Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh ginger minced
- 3 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 medium red onion minced
- 1 kilo chicken thigh fillets skin on
- 1/4 Cup Soy Sauce
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 Cup sugar
- 4 cups water
- 3 pieces star anise
- 3 tablespoons green onion cut into small pieces
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a pot, saute garlic and ginger until brown. Add the onions and cook until translucent.
- Add and stir the chicken into the aromatic mix, and cook for 10 minutes.
- Add water, soy sauce, sugar, star anise, and bring to a boil. Let it simmer for about 20 minutes on low heat or until meat is tender.
