Ingredients
  

Chinese Birthday Noodles Ingredients

  • 1/4 Cup Garlic chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chicken powder
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil divided
  • 2 tablespoons chinese wine
  • 150 Grams pork (use pork kasim), sliced
  • 80 Grams Shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 200 Grams Chicken (use breast part), sliced
  • 2 pieces chicken liver sliced (optional)
  • 2 pieces gizzard sliced (optional)
  • 10 pieces squid balls sliced
  • corn oil
  • 1/4 Cup onion chopped
  • 1 Pack pancit canton noodles
  • 2 tablespoons Garlic chopped
  • 1 stalk Leeks sliced
  • 1 Cup cabbage sliced
  • 1 Cup Baguio pechay sliced
  • 1 bunch pechay Tagalog sliced
  • 1 head cauliflower cut into florets
  • 1/2 piece carrot sliced into rounds
  • 4 pieces Dried Wood Ear Mushrooms (Tenga Ng Daga) soaked in water and drained
  • 1 tablespoon chicken powder
  • 1/4 Cup oyster sauce
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • 14 pieces snow peas (sitsaro)
  • 12 pieces quail eggs (hardboiled), peeled
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch dissolved in 2 tablespoons water

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, mix together garlic, chicken powder, 1 tablespoon sesame oil, and Chinese wine. Add all proteins. Marinate for 20 minutes.
  • Heat corn oil in a wok. Stir-fry proteins just until cooked; set aside.
  • Boil water in a pot and cook pancit canton according to package directions; drain. Set aside.
  • In the same wok, add more corn oil, if needed. Sauté onions, garlic, and leeks. add cabbage, Baguio pechay, pechay Tagalog, cauliflower, carrots, mushrooms, chicken powder, oyster sauce, sugar, soy sauce, and chicken stock as needed (you may not need 2 cups). Simmer, then add pancit canton.
  • Add sitsaro, quail eggs, cornstarch mixture, and remaining sesame oil; mix.
  • Transfer noodles to a platter and top with meat. Serve immediately.
