Melons are a great ingredient for summer sippers and refreshing shakes. This melon drink recipe is easy and is perfect for hot sunny days!
1 piece melon
1/2 cup coconut milk (gata)
1 to 1 1/2 cups ice
1/2 cup tapioca pearls (sago)
Slice open 1 (1-kilo) melon. Remove seeds and pulp at the center; discard. Using a melon scraper, shred 1/4 of the melon flesh; set aside.
Slice remaining flesh into cubes. Process melon cubes, coconut milk, and ice in a blender.
To serve, portion cooked small tapioca pearls (sago) and melon shreds among 4 glasses; pour in melon mixture.
