Try this sophisticated take on the beloved childhood favorite! Not a fan of Earl Grey? Make cheesy polvoron by adding 1/4 cup grated queso de bola instead of the tea leaves.

Ingredients
  

Earl Grey Polvoron

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered milk
  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 1 Cup unsalted butter melted
  • 8 bags Earl Grey tea

Instructions
 

  • Toast flour in a pan until light brown in color. Remove from heat and let cool.
  • Combine toasted flour with powdered milk and sugar in a mixing bowl.
     
  • Add melted butter and mix until well-combined.
  • Add tea leaves. If tea leaves are too coarse, grind them in a coffee grinder until fine. Mix to combine.
     
  • Press a round or oval polvoron mold in the mixture, making sure it is well packed. Push the ejector handle to release the polvoron onto a tray or plate. Freeze until ready to wrap. Repeat with remaining mixture.
