Ingredients
Five-Spice Pork Barbecue Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons five-spice powder
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 500 Grams pork shoulder (kasim) sliced thinly then cut into 2-inch pieces
- 1 200-gram can pineapple chunks drained
- 2 tablespoons green onions chopped
- steamed rice to serve
Instructions
- Combine five-spice powder, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, and oil in a bowl; mix well. Reserve 2 tablespoons of mixture.
- Add pork to bowl, coat well with mixture, and marinate for a few minutes.
- Thread pork onto bamboo skewers, alternating with pineapple chunks. Brush with reserved marinade. Season with salt and pepper.
- Preheat a charcoal grill or a greased grill pan over medium heat. Grill skewers for 2 minutes. Brush with marinade, turn to cook the other side, and grill until cooked, about 3 minutes.
- Sprinkle with green onions and serve with steamed rice.
