This spread gives a delightful tang to crackers and sandwiches!
100 grams fresh button mushrooms, sliced
olive oil, for sautéeing
200 grams bottled cream cheese, softened
3 cloves garlic, pressed or grated into a paste
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Saute fresh button mushrooms in olive oil for about 3 minutes.
Mix mushrooms and remaining ingredients in a bowl. Season to taste with pepper.
Transfer to an airtight container and chill until ready to use.
