Ingredients
  

Garlic Shrimp Lo Mein

  • 1 63/4 cups chicken stock
  • 1/4 Cup oyster sauce plus 2 tablespoons
  • 3 tablespoons light Chinese soy sauce
  • 1 Table Spoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoons hot sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch dissolved in 2 tablespoons cold water
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil divided
  • 3 tablespoons Garlic minced,divided
  • 2 teaspoons ginger minced,divided
  • 1/3 Cup green onion chopped,divided
  • 400 Grams Shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 can straw mushrooms sliced into 3 pieces each
  • 100 Grams Baguio pechay shredded
  • 2 stalks celery chopped finely
  • 400 Grams egg noodles (pancit canton) according to package directions

Instructions
 

  • Make the sauce: Combine all ingredients in a small bowl; mix well.
  • Heat a large wok over high heat. When hot, add half portions each of oil, garlic, ginger, and green onions; sauté for 30 seconds. Add shrimp; cook until pink, about 2 minutes. Transfer to a plate.
  • In the same pan, heat remaining oil. Add remaining garlic, ginger, and green onions; sauté for 30 seconds. Add vegetables; sauté for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Add sauce to pan; bring mixture to a simmer. Add cooked shrimp and noodles; toss well. Serve immediately.
