Ingredients
Grilled Rib-eye Steak with Spiced Coconut Sauce
- 1 Cup canned coconut cream
- 1 tablespoon curry powder
- 1/2 tablespoon ground turmeric
- 2 tablespoons Lemongrass Bulb (Tanglad)
- Salt to taste
- 1 (300-gram) Beef (use rib-eye steak), sliced into 3/4 inch-thick
- sea salt to season
- vegetable oil for grilling
- Buttered vegetables to serve (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine coconut cream, curry powder, turmeric, and lemongrass. Simmer for 10 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper. set aside and keep warm.
- Season steak with steak and pepper on all sides, just before cooking.
- Prepare a charcoal grill or heat oil in a cast iron or grill pan. Grill or sear steak to desired doneness.
- Transfer to a serving plate. Serve with spiced coconut cream sauce and buttered vegetables on the side.
