Ingredients
  

Jam Biscuit Sandwiches

  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1/2 Cup sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Salt
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • fruit jam for spreading

Instructions
 

  • Boil baking soda, sugar, and milk until sugar is fully dissolved. Cool to room temperature.
  • Add butter, vanilla, and salt to the flour; mix.
  • Pour in the milk mixture; mix until the dough comes together.
  • Roll out dough to about 1/8-inch-thick.
  • Cut out biscuit shapes with a round cookie cutter.
  • Remove excess dough.
  • Prick cookies with a fork.
  • Bake at 325ºF until biscuits are golden, about 12 to 15 minutes; cool.
  • Spread jam in between two biscuits.
