Ingredients
Jam Biscuit Sandwiches
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
- 1/2 Cup sugar
- 1/4 Cup Butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Salt
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- fruit jam for spreading
Instructions
- Boil baking soda, sugar, and milk until sugar is fully dissolved. Cool to room temperature.
- Add butter, vanilla, and salt to the flour; mix.
- Pour in the milk mixture; mix until the dough comes together.
- Roll out dough to about 1/8-inch-thick.
- Cut out biscuit shapes with a round cookie cutter.
- Remove excess dough.
- Prick cookies with a fork.
- Bake at 325ºF until biscuits are golden, about 12 to 15 minutes; cool.
- Spread jam in between two biscuits.
