Jun Juns Mango Chutney

  • 5 mango peeled and sliced diagonally into 1/2-inch strips 1 white onion, chopped finely
  • 1 Cup raisins
  • 1 Cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 Cup mango juice
  • lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Garlic minced
  • 2 teaspoons mustard seeds
  • 2 teaspoons curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne pepper or to taste pinch of ground nutmeg


  • Combine all ingredients in a deep saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil and simmer for 20 minutes. Make sure that mangoes still retain their shape.
