Ingredients
  

Kali (Mock Lengua)

  • 1 tablespoon white onion chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1/4 Cup button mushrooms halved
  • paprika
  • 1 tablespoon liquid seasoning
  • 200 grams (4 to 5 slices) Beef (use kalitiran), braised
  • 1/2 tablespoons brandy
  • 1/3 Cup brown sauce ( béchamel + demiglace)
  • 1/4 Cup beef stock
  • 1 tablespoon white wine
  • 4 green olives halved
  • Salt
  • 3 tablespoons cream
  • 1 teaspoon cream
  • 1 teaspoon Butter
  • parsley sprigs chopped

Instructions
 

  • Saute onions, garlic, and mushrooms in butter-olive oil mixture. Add paprika and seasoning. Add beef slices and sear both sides.
  • Deglaze pan with brandy; flambé.
  • Add in brown sauce and beef stock. Simmer until the sauce thickens. Add white wine and olives; simmer for about 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper mix. Add cream and butter then mix and simmer for another minute.
  • To assemble, pour over steamed rice or mashed potato in individual bowls. Sprinkle with parsley. Serve.
