Ingredients
  

Korean Fried Chicken Ingredients

  • 1/4 Cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang (hot pepper paste)
  • 1/3 Cup mirin or soju
  • 3 cloves Garlic chopped finely
  • 2 teaspoons fresh ginger grated
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • vegetable oil to deep-fry
  • 1 1/2 kilos chicken drumsticks
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Potato starch
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds toasted

Instructions
 

  • Combine brown sugar, soy sauce, gochujang, soju, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil in a pan over medium-low heat. Simmer until thick, about 5 to 10 minutes. Set aside.
  • Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Season chicken with salt then toss in potato starch. Deep-fry until golden, 12 to 15 minutes. Drain on a wire rack.
  • Toss chicken in prepared sauce. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds.
