Kung Pao Pork Ingredients

  • 1 kilo pork (use pork tenderloin), sliced into cubes
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Oil
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 5 slices fresh ginger peeled
  • 2 cloves Garlic sliced diagonally
  • 1 stalk green onion cut into rings

Instructions

  • Cut the pork into small cubes, pat dry with paper towels. Combine cornstarch and soy sauce to make a marinade. Add the pork to the marinade and let it sit for atleast 30 minutes.
  • Make the sauce: combine oil, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, water, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Set aside.
  • Heat a medium-sized wok, add oil, and stir-fry the marinated pork for 10 minutes. Dish out and set aside. Clean the wok and add in the remaining 2 tablespoons of oil until it’s fully heated. Add in the ginger and garlic slices and stir.
  • Add the sauce and stir continuously until the pork is nicely coated with the sauce. Add in the scallions and stir to combine well with the chicken. Transfer to a serving dish and serve warm.
