Leche Flan Doughnut Recipe

This doughnut is filled with two kinds of leche flan!

It started as a quarantine food business featured on Food Insider that is now fast gaining ground as a specialty doughnut. This Filipino-inspired doughnut is made with fried dough balls filled with leche flan custard and topped with a round of creamy leche flan. It's served sprinkled with powdered sugar.

The process is long but the custard and the leche flan can be made in advance and left chilled until you need it. Once you fill the doughnuts with the filling, you'll become addicted to these leche flan doughnuts, especially if you're a fan of the caramel custard flavor. It's even more awesome when warmed up so the custard oozes and is paired with a steaming hot cup of coffee for merienda
