Liempo with Garlic Honey Marinade Ingredients
- 500 Grams Pork belly or liempo
- 1/2 Cup honey
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 head Garlic skins removed
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Sprinkle salt on pork belly and set aside.
- Using a mortar and pestle, place garlic and mash. Add honey and smoked paprika. Place the marinade inside a ziptop bag along with the liempo and let marinate inside the refrigerator overnight or for at least 8 hours.
- Once ready to cook, wash the liempo over running water and pat until completely dry. Heat oil in pan over medium-high heat. Place pork belly into the pan and cook for about 7 to 10 minutes per side, depending on the thickness of the pork. Serve with rice and vinegar on the side.
