Ingredients
Macaroni with Beef and Mushroom
- 1/2 kilo elbow macaroni
- 130 Grams bacon chopped
- 1 large white onion chopped
- 4 cloves Garlic chopped
- 1 Small carrot choppet
- 2 tablespoons parsley sprigs chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil leaves chopped (or 2 teaspoons dried basil)
- 1/2 Cup canned button mushrooms chopped
- 1/2 kilo Beef use lean ground beef
- 1 (560-gram) pouch Italian-style spaghetti sauce
- 1 1/2 cups quick-melting cheese grated
- 1 teaspoon iodized salt (or 1 tablespoon iodized rock salt)
- 1/4 teaspoon Pepper
Instructions
- Sauté bacon for 2 minutes. Add onion, garlic, carrot, parsley, basil, and mushrooms. Cook for 5 minutes
- Add beef and sauté for 1 minute. Add spaghetti sauce, then season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Mix or pour over cooked elbow macaroni. Top with cheese.
