Ingredients
Malay-Style Chicken Ingredients
- 4 pieces Chicken (use chicken thighs), sliced
- 2 to 3 tablespoons fish sauce (patis)
- 1/2 Table Spoon water
- 2 tablespoons curry powder
- 1 Table Spoon ginger chopped
- 1 Cup cornstarch
- Oil for deep-frying
- 1 large onion sliced thinly
- 1/4 Cup Oil
Instructions
- Mix together fish sauce, water, curry powder, ginger, and chopped fresh basil. Marinate chicken in this mixture atleast one hour.
- Take chicken out of the marinade and shake off excess liquid. Dredge in cornstarch then deep-fry until cooked through.You have the option to toss this in chili paste if you want a more fiery dish.Â
- For the crispy onions, soak sliced onions in cooking oil then slowfry. Top on chicken.
