Ingredients
  

Malay-Style Chicken Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Chicken (use chicken thighs), sliced
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons fish sauce (patis)
  • 1/2 Table Spoon water
  • 2 tablespoons curry powder
  • 1 Table Spoon ginger chopped
  • 1 Cup cornstarch
  • Oil for deep-frying
  • 1 large onion sliced thinly
  • 1/4 Cup Oil

Instructions
 

  • Mix together fish sauce, water, curry powder, ginger, and chopped fresh basil. Marinate chicken in this mixture atleast one hour.
  • Take chicken out of the marinade and shake off excess liquid. Dredge in cornstarch then deep-fry until cooked through.You have the option to toss this in chili paste if you want a more fiery dish. 
  • For the crispy onions, soak sliced onions in cooking oil then slowfry. Top on chicken.
