Brown Butter Krispie Treats Recipe

In a large saucepan set over medium heat, melt the butter. Once the butter has melted completely, turn the heat down to low and cook for 4-5 minutes. Make sure the butter does not burn.

Once it has turned golden brown in color and starts smelling slightly nutty, immediately add the marshmallows, 
vanilla, and salt to avoid burning the brown butter. Mix until the marshmallows have melted completely. This will only take a few seconds.

Turn off the heat, and gently stir in the rice krispies. Work quickly because the mixture sets fast.

Immediately transfer the mixture to a square pan lined with parchment paper and spread evenly. Let it cool for around 1 hour, then slice before serving.
