Old-Fashioned Bread Pudding Recipe

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Grease an 8-inch by 6-inch baking dish with butter. Set aside. 

Tear bread into 1-inch pieces and place in a large bowl. Set aside. 

In another bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar, evaporated milk, cream, vanilla, and cinnamon. Add mixture to bread and let milk mixture soak the bread pieces for 30 minutes.

Pour the soaked bread into the baking dish, and bake in the oven for 45 to 50 minutes or until the center is set. 

Meanwhile, make the vanilla cream sauce: In a saucepan, whisk together cream, flour, and sugar until combined. Heat on medium heat until mixture starts to thicken slightly. Remove off from heat, and add butter and vanilla. Serve warm with warm bread pudding.
