Pancit Bihon Guisado Recipe

This pancit dish includes a tasty sauce and bits of adobo!

Both the sauce and the meat of leftover adobo lend their delicious flavors to this all-in-one pancit dish. Make sure to fry the adobo slices only when you’re ready to serve so that they stay crunchy.

Ingredients
  

Pancit Bihon Guisado Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 5 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 Cup Baguio beans sliced
  • 1 Cup sugar snap peas or sitsaro
  • 1 Cup carrots julienned
  • 3 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 1 Cup adobo sauce
  • 1 Cup water
  • 1/4 kilo bihon noodles (thin rice noodles) soaked in water
  • 1 Cup Oil for frying
  • 1 1/2 cups leftover adobo thinly sluced
  • calamansi to serve

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a large saucepan or wok over medium heat. Sauté garlic until fragrant.
  • Add Baguio beans, sitsaro, and carrots. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside a portion of the vegetable mixture for topping.
  • Pour soy sauce, adobo sauce, and water into the pan. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Add drained pancit bihon and cook until sauce has been absorbed by the noodles.
  • Meanwhile, heat oil in another pan. Fry sliced leftover adobo until crispy. Set aside.
  • Transfer pancit bihon to serving plates. Top with the vegetable mixture and crispy adobo. Serve with calamansi on the side.
