Peanut Butter and Jelly French Toast with Apples
- 4 sliced whole-wheat bread
- 1/2 Cup peanut butter
- 1/4 apple thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons grape jelly
- 2 Egg
- 1/2 Cup heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons Butter
Instructions
- Spread peanut butter on two slices of bread then top with apple slices. Then spread jelly on the other two slices of bread. Combine the two slices to form a sandwich.
- In a mixing bowl, lightly beat eggs and heavy cream together. Set aside.
- Meanwhile, melt butter in large skillet over medium heat.
- Prepare sandwiches for toasting: Dip sandwich in the egg mixture, coating well. Then place it in skillet and brown both sides. Repeat for all sandwiches. Serve immediately.
