Penne with Tuna and Capers

Cook pasta according to package directions; set aside.

Heat oil in a sauté pan. Sauté onions then add garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant and slightly golden.

Add crushed tomatoes. Let simmer for 5 minutes.

Add drained tuna chunks and capers. Cook for 5 to 10 minutes over low heat.

Season with salt and pepper.

Add cooked penne and toss in sauce to completely coat pasta.

Place in a serving bowl. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese on top. Garnish with a sprig of basil or chopped parsley, if desired.
