Ingredients
  

Putoflan Ingredients

  • 1 Cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 Cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon powdered milk
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • a pinch of Salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 Cup water
  • 1 tablespoon salted butter melted
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 80 ml condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions
 

  • For the puto mixture, mix first all dry ingredients (flour, sugar, powdered milk, baking powder, and salt) then followed by wet ingredients (egg, water, and melted butter). Strain through a strainer after mixing all ingredients to create a smooth mixture.
  • For the leche flan, whisk the egg yolks then add the condensed milk and vanilla. Strain 3 times.
  • Using a medium-sized cup molder, pour in 1 tablespoon of the leche flan mixture. Steam in a steamer for about 10 minutes over low heat.
  • After steaming the leche flan, put 2 tablespoons of puto mixture onto the cup molder then steam again for another 10 minutes, on meduim heat. Remove from heat.
