It's a puto and leche flan in one!
Here's a unique twist to some classic Pinoy favorites-puto¬†and¬†leche¬†flan!¬†
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon powdered milk
1 tablespoon baking powder
a pinch of salt
1 large egg
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon salted butter, melted
2 large egg yolks
80 ml condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
For the puto mixture, mix first all dry ingredients (flour, sugar, powdered milk, baking powder, and salt) then followed by wet ingredients (egg, water, and melted butter). Strain through a strainer after mixing all ingredients to create a smooth mixture.¬†
For the leche flan, whisk the egg yolks then add the condensed milk and vanilla. Strain 3 times.
Using a medium-sized cup molder, pour in 1 tablespoon of the leche flan mixture. Steam in a steamer for about 10 minutes over low heat.
After steaming the leche flan, put 2 tablespoons of puto mixture onto the cup molder then steam again for another 10 minutes, on meduim heat. Remove from heat.
