Ingredients
  

Red Velvet Crinkles Ingredients

  • 1 Cup all-purpose flour plus 2 tablespoons
  • 1/4 Cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1/8 salt Salt
  • 1/3 Cup Butter softened
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 1/3 Cup sugar
  • 1/2 Cup brown sugar
  • 1 medium Egg
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon red liquid food coloring
  • confectioners sugar

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Combine flour, cocoa powder, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl; mix well.
  • Using a stand or handheld mixer, cream butter, cream cheese, and sugars in a bowl for 1 minute. Add egg and vanilla; mix until well combined. Add dry ingredients; beat for 1 minute. Add food coloring; mix until batter is even in color.
  • Scoop batter using a small scooper. Level scooper using the back of a knife. Drop dough onto prepared baking sheet, 2 inches apart. Sift confectioners’ sugar on top of each cookie. Gently flatten tops with the back of a spoon.
  • Bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until center of cookies are set yet moist. Let cool on baking tray for 10 minutes. Remove from tray and dust cookies with more confectioners’ sugar while warm. [ArticleReco:{"articles":["10478"]}]
