Ingredients
  

Sausage and Veggie Rice

  • 2 Table Spoon Butter
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 3/4 Cup sausage sliced
  • 1/2 Cup carrot frozen and cubed
  • 1/2 Cup frozen corn
  • 1/4 Cup celery chopped
  • 1/4 Cup chicken broth
  • 2 cups rice cooked
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves (Optional)

Instructions
 

  • Melt and mix butter with canola oil in a pan. Add sliced sausages; sauté for 3 minutes. Add frozen carrot cubes and frozen corn; sauté for 2 minutes. Add chopped celery; mix.
  • Pour in chicken broth and cooked rice. Season with garlic powder, black pepper, anddried thyme (optional). Mix well and simmer for 10 minutes. To serve as a salad, just chill in the fridge until ready to eat.
