Ingredients
Sausage and Veggie Rice
- 2 Table Spoon Butter
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 3/4 Cup sausage sliced
- 1/2 Cup carrot frozen and cubed
- 1/2 Cup frozen corn
- 1/4 Cup celery chopped
- 1/4 Cup chicken broth
- 2 cups rice cooked
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
- black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves (Optional)
Instructions
- Melt and mix butter with canola oil in a pan. Add sliced sausages; sauté for 3 minutes. Add frozen carrot cubes and frozen corn; sauté for 2 minutes. Add chopped celery; mix.
- Pour in chicken broth and cooked rice. Season with garlic powder, black pepper, anddried thyme (optional). Mix well and simmer for 10 minutes. To serve as a salad, just chill in the fridge until ready to eat.
