Savory Chicken Embutido Ingredients

  • 1 kilogram ground chicken
  • 1/3 cup of raisins
  • 1 piece small onion diced
  • 4 pieces sausages sliced
  • 1 piece small carrot diced
  • 2 pieces whole pickles diced
  • 1 piece Knorr chicken cube
  • 1/4 cup of Knorr Liquid Seasoning
  • 1 piece raw egg slightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup of Flour
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic chopped
  • 1 pack (250gram) Italian-style tomato sauce
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 piece Knorr chicken cube
  • ground pepper to taste

  • Prepare a steamer by filling it with water halfway into the pan. Let the water boil, then place all the ingredients for the embutido—the ground chicken, raisins, onions, sausage, carrot, and pickles—in a bowl.
  • Add the mashed Knorr Chicken Cube, Knorr Liquid Seasoning, egg, and flour. Mix well.
  • Divide the mixture into 4 to 5 portions. Wrap each portion in a piece of aluminum foil by rolling them all into a log. Secure the ends by crimping and folding.
  • Place the rolled embutido into a steaming basket, then steam for 40 minutes or until fully cooked. Insert a paring knife to check if the mixture is cooked.
  • To make the sauce, get a pan and make it nice and hot over medium heat. Pour oil and throw in the garlic. Cook until slightly brown. Add the tomato sauce, water, and Knorr Chicken Cube. Let simmer and season to taste.
  • Unwrap the embutido and slice diagonally. You may also pan-fry the embutido before slicing to get a nice brown color.
  • Chicken embutido, served with sauce on top or on the side, is just so satisfying to eat that you can have this any day, any time of the week.
