Sesame Ginger Beef Ingredients

  • 1/2 kilo beef short ribs Korean style (samgyupsal), thinly sliced, chopped into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger grated (bottled ginger paste)
  • 1/4 Cup Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 stalks green onions chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds lightly toasted
  • 1 package (about 1 pound) snow peas (sitsaro) blanched, trimmed
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste


  • Place beef in a large mixing bowl, and pat dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
  • In a wok over high heat, add the oil. When the oil is almost smoking, add the beef. Stir fry until the beef is almost cooked through, 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring. Lower the heat to medium heat and add garlic, ginger, soy sauce, vinegar, and sugar. Stir quickly to coat the beef. Add snow peas, then top with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
