Ingredients
  

Sigarilyas Tempura Ingredients

  • 1 Cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 Cup cornstarch
  • Pepper
  • 1 Table Spoon Garlic powder
  • 1 can beer
  • 2 pieces Egg whites only
  • 1/2 kilo winged beans (sigarilyas) blanched
  • Oil for deep-frying

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together beer and egg whites.
  • Pour flour mixture into the beer mixture. Mix until you get a thin, pancake batter-like consistency.
  • Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pot or frying pan. Dip each piece of blanched sigarilyas into the beer batter, then deep-fry until golden brown, about 3 minutes. Drain on paper towels. 
  • Make wasabi mayo: Mix the following ingredients until well combined: 1 cup mayonnaise, 1 1?2 teaspoons wasabi powder, pinch of white pepper, and pinch of salt.
