Ingredients
Spicy Oriental Lettuce Cups
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon white onion chopped
- 1 teaspoon ginger chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon Garlic chopped
- 250 Grams Chicken use ground chicken
- 2 tablespoons canned water chestnuts chopped
- 2-3 tablespoons chili garlic paste
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Soy Sauce
- 1/8 Cup canned black beans (tausi) rinsed
- Salt to taste
- 1 small head Iceberg lettuce washed and leaves separated
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil for topping
- 1 tablespoon peanuts for topping
- 1/4 Cup green beans (sitaw) for topping
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan. Sauté onions, ginger, and garlic until fragrant. Add ground chicken and sauté until completely cooked. Â
- Add water chestnuts, chili garlic paste, sugar, and soy sauce; mix well.
- Add black beans and stir gently. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- To serve, place chicken mixture on lettuce leaves. Add a few drops of sesame oil and garnish with peanuts and green beans.
TIP: To make crispy wonton strips, simply cut wonton wrappers into thin strips, deep-fry until golden, then drain on paper towels.
