Ingredients
Strawberry Horchata Shaved Ice
- 1 Cup almonds
- 2 cups milk
- 300 ml condensed milk
- 300 ml evaporated milk
- 2 cups fresh strawberries
- strawberries
- 12 to 24 strawberries mashed
- crushed ice
- 5 teaspoons horchata syrup
- strawberries sliced
- cinnamon
Instructions
- Toast almonds in a sauté pan until golden. Let cool. Chop coarsely and set aside.
- Make the horchata syrup: Simmer fresh milk, condensed milk, and evaporated milk until thick. Rinse and hull strawberries. Set aside a few to use as garnish and mash the rest with a fork.
- To serve, place 2 to 3 teaspoons mashed strawberries at the bottom of each glass then fill the glass with crushed ice. Drizzle around over ice. Top with almonds, strawberries, a dusting of cinnamon and serve immediately.
