Stuffed Cabbage Rolls Recipe

Prepare a steamer. Steam cabbage leaves for about 3 minutes until softened. Drain and set aside.

Meanwhile, heat 2 tablespoons oil in a nonstick frying pan over medium heat. Saute onions and then potatoes and carrots until almost cooked through. Add corned beef, cumin, paprika, and ground black pepper. Cook until dry. Add corn and heat through. Remove from heat.

Place a cabbage leaf on a cutting board and fill with 1 1?2 tablespoons of the corned beef mixture. Roll. Repeat with remaining cabbage and filling. Keep warm and set aside.

Meanwhile, make Tomato Sauce: In a frying pan, saute 2 chopped garlic cloves and 1 chopped small onion until softened. Sprinkle in 1?2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning and saute until fragrant. Pour in 3?4 cup tomato sauce, 1?4 cup water, 1?2 teaspoon sugar, and generously season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer. Serve with cabbage rolls.
