Sweet And Sour Beef Recipe

Prepare the beef: Combine beef, soy sauce, ginger, and garlic powder in a bowl. Mix well. Marinate in the refrigerator for 4 hours or overnight. 

Make the sauce: Combine pineapple juice, ketchup, vinegar, and soy sauce in a saucepan over medium heat. Simmer for 5 minutes. Add brown sugar and stir until dissolved. Add dissolved cornstarch and simmer until thick, about 10 minutes. Set aside.

When ready to cook beef, heat oil in a deep-fryer over medium heat. Dredge beef in cornstarch. Deep-fry in batches until crisp and golden, about 4 minutes. Drain on paper towels and set aside.

Heat oil in a wok over high heat. Sauté garlic for 1 minute. Add red onions, bell peppers, and carrots; sauté for 1 minute. 

Add beef and sweet-and-sour sauce; toss to combine. Add pineapple chunks and toss. Serve immediately.
