Ingredients
  

Tinanglarang Manok (Chicken in Lemongrass Soup) Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 medium white onion minced
  • 2 tablespoons ginger chopped
  • 1 kilo Chicken
  • 6 stalks lemongrass (tanglad) trimmed, stalks pounded, and leaves tied in a knot
  • 1 teaspoon fish sauce (patis)
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 Cup pepper leaves (dahon ng sili)

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté garlic, onion, and ginger until fragrant.
  • Add 4 cups water and bring to a boil.
  • Add chicken and lemongrass. Lower heat and simmer until chicken is completely cooked, about 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Season with fish sauce, salt, and pepper.
  • Transfer to a serving bowl. Add dahon ng sili before serving. Serve hot.
