Ingredients
Tofu Satay with Peanut Sauce Ingredients
- 1 500-gram pack firm tofu (tokwa) sliced
- 1/2 Cup peanut butter
- 3 tablespoons hot water
- 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
- 1 tablespoon mirin
- 1 clove Garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
- vegetable oil for frying
- Salt to taste
- ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Drain liquid from tofu package. Pat dry and place over paper towel then let sit for 30 minutes to drain excess liquid. Slice into 6 pieces.
- In a small bowl combine: peanut butter, hot water, soy sauce, mirin, garlic, and ginger. Season with salt and pepper then mix well. Divide in half. Set aside.
- Pat dry tofu once again then brush with half of the sauce. Make sure to coat both sides evenly.
- Heat oil in pan over medium heat. Fry tofu for 3 to 5 minutes on each side. Remove from heat and drain on paper towels. Serve with half of the peanut sauce.
