Use two kinds of cheeses for this savory snack!
5 strips bacon, cooked to a crisp
2 slices wheat bread
1/3 cup monterey jack cheese, grated
1/3 cup cheddar cheese, grated
3 tablespoons salted butter, melted at room temperature
Spread the butter on both sides of the 2 slices of bread.
Lay the strips of bacon on one slice of bread and top with the Monterey Jack and Cheddar Cheese. Cover with the other slice of bread.
IMAGE Aldwin AspilleraPut the sandwich on a non-stick skillet and heat one side for 2 to 3 minutes then turn it over to cook the other side. Serve hot.
Tip: you may also use a sandwich press or a panini maker.
