White Chocolate Cupcakes with Strawberry Frosting Recipe

Preheat oven to 350ºF. Line a regular muffin pan with 8 liners and set aside.

Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Mix well and set aside.

In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream butter and sugar on medium speed for 1 to 2 minutes.

Add egg and vanilla; mix until well combined.

Gradually add flour mixture. Pour in milk and melted white chocolate. Mix until just combined.

Portion batter equally among muffin cups. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes. Transfer cupcakes to a wire rack and cool completely.

While cupcakes are baking, make the frosting: Beat together butter and confectioners' sugar in a bowl. Add strawberry purée and mix well. Fold in basil. Cover and chill until ready to use.

Spread or pipe frosting on top of cooled cupcakes. Garnish with strawberry halves, basil leaves, and grated white chocolate.
