St. Luke’s Medical Center Opens “Free Grocery” For Its Frontliners

Good job, St. Luke's Medical Center!

St. Luke’s Medical Center (SLMC) opens a makeshift grocery store, called the “Care Store,” where their health workers can get essential items for free. This serves as a token of appreciation for their hardworking frontliners who continuously provide their services amid the global pandemic COVID-19.

The Care Store, which opened on the morning of April 3, offers different grocery items such as fresh fruits, bread, canned goods, and bottled beverages. It also includes health and grooming items, too.

In a letter addressed to SMLC’s ER associates and doctors, they were each given a total of 2,000 care points which can be consumed in the Care Store. The letter states, “Once in a while, you will receive this message with corresponding points ready to be availed at the Care Store.”
