Ingredients
  

Bacon-wrapped Meatballs Ingredients

  • 1 pack (200-gram) Tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 1 tablespoon chopped white onions
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground oregano
  • 1/4 beef bouillon cube
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 300 Grams lean ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon grated garlic
  • 2 tablespoons white onions grate
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 Small Egg
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 8 Bacon strips
  • 2 cups Potatoes peeled and diced
  • 1/4 Cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons Butter
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions
 

  • Make the barbecue sauce: Combine tomato sauce, garlic, onions, bay leaf, soy sauce, sugar, oregano, and ¼ cup water in a saucepan over medium heat; bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. Add bouillon cube and mix. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Set aside and let cool. 
  • Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil.
  • Make the meatballs: Combine beef, garlic, onions, soy sauce, and egg in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper; mix well. Shape mixture into golf ball-sized pieces. Wrap each meatball with a bacon strip and secure with toothpicks.   
  • Generously coat meatballs with barbecue sauce then arrange on prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until completely cooked. Remove toothpicks.
  • Make the mashed potatoes: Boil potatoes for 10 to 15 minutes or until tender. Drain potatoes and place in a bowl. Add milk and butter. Mash potatoes using a fork and mix well. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Pack meatballs, the rest of the barbecue sauce, and mashed potatoes separately.
